I can't login in a VM

I converted a Windows 2003 enterprise server but when I tried to login into the server I couldn't do it. I used the virtual center plugin for vmware converter enterprise. The vm completed the startup process but when I entered user name and password, the vm started the login process but then logout before it finish the process.Somebody help me.

Try rebooiting the VM - I have seen this before where the sysprep does not complete fully -

Hi Javrob

I've hat this as well, in my case, the login-process took a very long time (up to 15-Min).

My problem was that after P2V the Partitions are Swapped C: went D. and D. went C:

My Solution:

Wait till the Server is completely up (or wait till the first Login-atemp returned with the Logon-Screen)

Map the Registy from the VM to your PC and change the Partition Letters of C: and 😧 as discripted in

Let me know if this worked!

Good Luck

Willem

Yes, my Physical server has swapped drive C and D, but the server was like this before the conversion.

Were you using a domain or a local login? Is the server on the network, and have you tried a terminal session?
