HP ML350 G5 64bit support

Hi guys,

I just install ESX 3.5 on a HP ML350 G5 server, with quad core xeon processor.

I try to create a Windows 2003 enterprise 64bit version, and I during install the guest OS said that the processor don't support 64bit OS.

I think that the Xeon support 64bit, I'm wrong? if not what would be the problem?

Hi,

You must ensure that VT support is available on the system and enable it in BIOS. Once enabled you need to do a cold boot for it to work.

I'm almost certain that model supports it.

Mike when you mention "...enable it in bios...." you mean in the bios of the HP ML350?
