Guest OS (old version) support for VI3 on new hardware

I am working with very new hardware (HP Proliant DL380 G5) with quad-core.

I would like to know if Novell Netware 5.1 that is not supported for that server could be installed (and is certified) as a guest OS on ESX server 3.0.2.
