Edit snapshot file

i have a snapshot file that im realy need to edit and save some imported data

Is there any software i can use to edit this file ?

I don't think is a good idea ....

why don't you clone your VM, startup the clone, revert to snapshot and do everything on it ?

The snapshot file on it's own is meaningless as it's a bitmap of the changes to the base VMDK, so no you can't access it directly.

What you can do is clone the VM to a new one, this will consolodate the snapshots into the new clone VM, you can then power it on and extract the files that you need.
