I found a 27 step process to convert a physical linux server to a VM using VMware Converter, but is there an easier way?

If not using P2V Converter for free, you can use paid version of Double-Take or Platespin these are tend to be less downtime so check them out. All solutions works fine just make sure you plan cutover accordingly.

What about Acronis? We own Acronis Backup & Recovery Server (Formerly True Image). Has anyone had success with this product?
