Disk arrival issue in MSCS after failover

Hi All,

I have MSCS win2k3 across box setup on vsphere 4.0.

The issue is windows is not getting disk arrival in passive node if I create RDM on same scsi controller slot.

steps to reproduce the issue.

1. Create a shared RDM LUN-> it mapped to scsi1:1 on both node.

2. Add to LUN to cluster group.

3. Move the cluster group to passive node.

4. Delete the shared RDM

5. Again create shared RDM and mapped to SCSI1:1. RDM creation got successful but windows in not able to see the disk arrival.

But if I map shared LUN to any other controller slot i.e. SCSI1:2 ,windows able to see the disk arrival and every thing woks fine.

or if I restart the VMs, and map LUN to SCSI1:1 , it works fine. Does some where something is locking ?

Anybody has faced this issue or I am missing something ? Any pointer will be useful.

Thanks,

Tapesh.
