Disconnecting Drives from a VM, While the VM is still Running.

Is there a way to dismount Diskfiles from a VM while the VM is still running, this would allow me to pass these disks to other VMs wiithout have to drop the original as this will be used as a replicatation Target server.

No way.

You can only hot add disks to a vm.

If you looking for a method to replicate your VMs to a another server there are a number of ways to do it, search around the forums there are a number of topics. My company has what we can simple replication built into our backup product, esXpress.

I will be replicating multiple systems to one VM using Different disks for different systems then i would like to peel off the disk's while the VM is still running to allow me to attach it to a differnet VM.
