Hello,
When I delete a VM, I assumed before that it removed all the files and the folder structure on the datastore. I find that this isn't true. In most cases there is at least the folder still left behind, as well as some times there are files left behind as well. Any reason for this?
I don't really like the fact that I manually have to clean this up as sometimes manual processes are missed.
Have you checked for hidden files in the directory that's left behind?
Vranger (vizioncore) leaves a hidden file called .vzmutex behind when it performs a back up. You have to remove it from the command line.

That's it. Thanks. So, my only option is to delete the folder through Putty on the host.
I believe so unless a change is made to the Datastore browser functionality.
Be careful though. I ran into a bug where deleting a temporary file in the Datastore browser deleted the related vmdk file!
It was a Vizioncore file with a vzsnp extension. vmname.vmdk, vzsnp
