We recently did a P2V migration of a hardware platform running Windows Server 2003 to a VM. We are now migrating websites from that VM to yet another VM running Windows Server 2008. Our challenge is, when trying to "migrate" the IP address from the 2003 VM to the 2008 VM we get a notice that the IP address is assigned to a hidden NIC (obviously the hardware NIC from the hardware migrated from). Question: is it safe to unhide that hidden NIC and delete it? This is a production server so we'd rather not it crashed if we do that!
