Convert Vista files to a VM

Hi - would appreciate help for the following:

My laptop running Vista lost its display ,thankfully I am able to access all my data by pulling out the hard disk and using a SATA-USB converter to access it as a USB drive.

I like to convert the vista OS image and data on the laptop disk to a VM that I can run it using VMserver. Seems like VMware converter cannot be pointed to a folder that gets converted to a VM.

ANy help on converting a complete vista boot disk + application data to a VM would be great.

thanks much

- Lakshman

Install the Converter as standalone and choose a physical maschine as source. Then select the vista system from the network and convert it into a Vmware Server standalone VM.
