We've recently moved our Citrix environment to a CLEAN XenApp5 Win2k3 R2 environment hosted on VMware ESX 4.0 update 1. Everything seams to run fine, performance is fine, except.
When users sign into a server it is taking a verylong time to build out Session Printers.
even with NO load, at night only one on the system, no backups, slow processing of citrix policies.
i've also noticed, that PRINT JOBS in general seam to be very slow.
so here's my question. Do i need to do somthing special to optimize the spooler service to run in a vmware environment?

Thin Provision disks on iSCSI mounted data stores.
Disk I/O is fine on the san, on the network switches, etc.
