Cannot use Remote desktop to connect to guest OS

Hi guys,

I am facing with the problem to connect to guest OS (Windows Server 2008) on VM workstation. Network configuration is bridge so my guest OS can get the IP from DHCP in my router. After opening the remote connection service on my Windows 2008, I can use the remote desktop on my host computer (Windows XP) to connect to Windows 2008 but I cannot do the same thing on another laptop which is running Windows XP and is in the same LAN. I can also ping the guest OS's IP from my laptop. I wonder whether I have to do anything in order to make this work. All firewalls in both host and guest OS have been closed.

Any suggestion?

Be sure that firewalls are turned off, cause seems a firewall problem.

I just checked the firewall on the host OS.

For the guest OS, I can use Remote desktop from my host OS to connect to the guest OS. Hence, I guess that the service and firewall on my guest OS should be OK.

From other client can you ping the VM?

Can you use other services?

I can ping the VM from another client. I can see and use the shared folder on VM as well.
