Cannot create/clone templates

I'm evaluating ESX 3.5.0 with VI client 2.5.0. All template related options are missing when I right-click on a VM, and in maintenance mode they're all greyed-out.

Is this a limitation of the trial version? I'm not using VirtualCenter, just a single host, could that be the reason?

It is my understanding that Virtual Center is neccessary in order to use templates.

Questar is correct, you need virtual center to use templates. It talks about templates half way down this features page.

You can get the same sort of thing by copying the disk files, but it is much more cumbersome to do so. I would highly recomend using virtualcenter.
