Can I copy .nvram files to other guests

All,

I've been dutifully going through the best practice guides and trying to follow as much as possible. One item is to remove unused ports. So I remove them from VC, but the guests still see them. I have found that I also need to delete the ports out of the virtual BIOS. Are all these bios files the same or are they unique to each guest (other than the name)? Rather than modify every single nvram file, it would be easier just to copy and rename.

I've copied them in the past to avoid having to set the boot order and I haven't had any problems. I don't know if it's officially supported, but there is a VMware employee suggesting the same on this thread so you should be ok - http://communities.vmware.com/thread/13314.
