Dear Fellow VM Users,
I was hoping to get some help on this one. We currently have several 2.5 ESX hosts and we are slowly migrating the guests into our 3.0 environment. Since I am unable to use VMware Converter to migrate the guest from the 2.5 host to the 3.0 host, we tried using Backup Exec System Recovery to create an image file. That image file can then be read by VMware converter and migrated into our 3.0 environment. The weird thing is that when I tried using VMware converted on a Windows guest file that was created from Backup Exec System Recovery, it powered on just fine without errors, but when I open up the console it looks like it is now a Linux box that fails to boot up.
Has anybody experienced this before?
