Annoying "move" verses "copy" question

Many times I rename a VM and start it up. I get the annoying "move" verses "copy" question. The only reason it is annoying is because I never know which to choose, as a rename could be construed as either.

What is the correct choice for a "rename?"

the question is do you want that the VM gets a new MAC-address and new UUID - yes or no.

You can only decide this yourself - do not know why you rename VMs.

Move = keep identity of the VM as it was before - same MAC as last time

Copy = assume you have another copy of the same VM running - in this case it is safer to change the MAC and create a new identity

Understood - makes great sense. Perhaps they could put an "asterisk" for those who want to know the difference.

Rename might be simply part of the evolving of the VMs.

Thanks.
