2008 Windows clustering

Hello,

I am looking to create a windows 2008 cluster and span it across 2 ESX nodes? Has any one done this? If so does any one have any documentation on best practice for setting up the virtual network for this configuration? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Cyrrently Windows 2008 clustering is not supported with VI-3 - to try I would follow the setup for Windows 2003 clustering in terms of the shared disks -

Is 2003 Clustering supported?

This is going to be for a new MS Exchange Environment so I would like to go with the newest server OS but I guess that is not going to be possible

Currently 2 node 2003 MSCS clusters are supported on ESX 3.5 . If you are looking to setup an Exchange 2007 environment you might be better off with a physical setup or only partially Virtualized, I have no experience running Exchange 2007 in a Vmware environment so someone else may be able to provide you with more useful info.

Hello,

Moved to Virtual Machine and Guest OS forum.

There was a very good VMware Communities Roundtable Podcast on this subject. Check em out at http://www.talkshoe.com/talkshoe/web/talkCast.jsp?masterId=19367
