I assume you requested the VMDK spec using the URL ? When i click the link in the email that was sent it opens up a PDF file (VMDK spec) on my IE browser window (works for Firefox as well). Not sure what browser you are using (may want to check if it can open PDF).
That is exactly what I did. When I tried to open, it opens acrobat pluging but does not load document. I tried it from three different computers, from home and from work. Same thing on all of them. Will try again.
I have the same problem. That URL (http://www.vmware.com/interfaces/vmdk_access.html) leads to a request form. After successfully completing the form, an email is sent to me with a URL. The URL in the email does not open in either of Internet Explorer or Firefox.
