Please tell me how to change from dhcp to static ip then no dhcp server will be availble. can't get the console. how do i set static ip in this appliance???
If its like the Tomcat appliance, its would be:
https:// is the IP of your virtual appliance.
There's the network configuration on the homepage.
If you do not have a DHCP server on your local network, there's a neat workaround...
Configure the Virtual Appliance for host only networking, and boot. This will get an IP address from the DHCP server built into VMware. Once you configure it for your static IP address, and shutdown. Configure the VA for bridged networking (or whatever) your preference.
The later version of the LAMP VA supports shell access if you wish to configure the interface yourself, but the above procedure works very well and is quick and easy.

The specified credential admin:admin worked for admin console.
However I got errors when using the same credential to login to console and SSH.
Is there another credential I shall use?
thanks
root:root is the shell account name and password.
what is the ''mysql login: '' username and password on the MySQL virtaul appliances' console?
thanx
As per the included README file, there is no shell access on the MySQL VA. Sorry.
Works great.
Thanks!
