i tried to configure strataguard vmplayersuing the Strata Guard Free Virtual Appliance Image Tech Note. followed the instructions as stated and assigned a static ip to the palyer. yet i can connect to it through my ie 7.0 browser. what next do i need to do?

Kierane,

What are the IP addresses and netmasks for your host system and your virtual appliance? If they're not on the same subnet, how are you routing between the two? For more information, you should check out the SGF forums at http://sgfree.stillsecure.com/?q=forum/30.

By the way, have you tried our newest product, Cobia, yet? You can download a virtual appliance at http://cobia.stillsecure.com. The next version of Strata Guard Free will be based on Cobia.
