What is the protocol for companies like Proficient Software that are posing as providing a download but are in fact only attempting to drive business to their website? Why does VMWare allow this? It would appear that no one benefits -- VMWare is contributing to an irritating misuse of the intent of their VMTN appliances, the rude vendor is driving away people that might be interested in their product, and your customers are learning that they cannot trust the download links, plus we do not get the opportunity to experiment with a VM appliance that looks intriguing.
