Browser appliance and vmware player how to download from web to PC

I just learned about using the browser appliance and vmware player to safely browse the web. However, since I'm a noob, how do I download files from the web and transfer it from the virtual environment to the PC?

I tried creating a shared folder, but that didn't work. It's most likely I did it wrong.

Thks in advance

The easiest way is to email the files to yourself. Here is a more laborsome method:

Thanks for the link. The article mentions that drag n drop can be done between a Windows based virtual machine and a Windows host. I am running windows, but i still can't drag n drop (mouse stops at edge of window).

Do I have to have a copy of VMware Workstation to activate this drag n drop feature?

From the VMware Player manual: You can drag files between a Windows host and a Windows virtual machine, if the virtual machine was configured with this feature. To use the drag-and-drop feature, you must

have VMware Tools installed.

You may have figured it out by now. But an easy way to do this is to use a USB stick. From the VM player, you can xfer the file to a USB stick. Then unmount/replug. Xfer from USB stick to Vista or whatever.

It works and is fairly easy to do.
