We are interested in deploying a firewall as a virtual appliance in a new hosting environment. It will need to be easy to configure and with preferably a web based control panel. We will need to use the device for the usual port blocking and have an ipsec site to site VPN setup.
We are currently using an Astaro Security Gateway device and we are very impressed with it. It seems pretty straight forward and we have run into no major issues. The only thing we have with the ASG devices is the annual support cost. This doesn't work out too cheap.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a virtual firewall appliance that they would recommend putting into a commercial web hosting environment (preferably with low on going support costs)?
