Standard HA Standby unit activation

Good day,

Another point that is not covered by the documentation is when installing an HA pair.

Does the standby Edge unit needs activation?

Or should I just create an Edge, assign it the correct parameters, and it would activate by itself once it's connected to the active Edge using GE1 on both units?

Also should I just LEAVE the default settings for GE1? or are there any special settings (in addition to enabling HA at the Edge creation stage, and Setting the HA mode within each Edge)?

Hi,

Standby Edge does not require activation.

Just connect an activated HA active Edge GE1 and an unactivated (factory condition) VMware SD-WAN Edge on the GE1 port.

Yes, 
Here is a brief description of the procedure.

1.  Create a new edge on Orchestrator and Enable HA configuration 
2. Edge Activate.
3. Connect active and standby edges via GE1 port
