Hi,
Alarm screen doesn't show any alarm. What does type of alarm show? I've triggered VM RAM alarm and datastore space alarm and don't work.
Best regards,
Jose Luis Gomez
The alarms screen will show alarms that have been triggered on VMs that have been added to your watchlist(s). By adding VMs to a watchlist, you're saying "these are the VMs I care to monitor right now", and the alerts screen is just a convenience so that you can see if any of your VMs need attention at a glance.
Thanks, I will check it. I added three VMs to my watchlist and I forced memory warnings and I didn't see nothing in Alarms screen.
When a VM has an alarm triggered, you'll also be able see it in other locations:
- On the watchlist screen, when there is an alarm on a VM there will be a red # badge on the top right of the console image.
- On the VM detail screen, an alert will be displayed below the header info.
If you see an alert in those places, but not on the alerts page then it is something we'll need to look into.
Hello,
I've checked it again with the same result. My test is the next:
1.- Add VM to watchlist
2.- Run intensive CPU process inside of VM for achieve 100% CPU consumption.
3.- 100% CPU consumption triggered an alarm
vSphere Web Client shows the CPU alarm. I can see in iOS App that CPU resource bar is red. But any alarm is showed in mobile app.

The app should be receiving updated information periodically from the server and the alarm should just appear. Have you tried forcing a refresh (pull to refresh) from the VM detail screen? We'll take a look and try to reproduce this issue on our end as well.
Hi,
Yes, I refreshed it. If you want I can use the support option and send an email with all information about iOS, vSphere infrastructure and others.
Best regards,
Jose Luis Gomez
Sorry Jose, but I've been unable to reproduce this issue. I followed the same steps as you to monitor a VM in the app as a CPU alarm is triggered in the Windows client. I see the alarm trigger in the Windows client, then then moments later it appears in the Watchlist app.
I'll keep this on our radar and make sure it gets an explicit test case. Please let us know if you find another example of how to reproduce the bug.
Hi,
Don't worry. I will maintain more time waiting if the alarm is showed in my iPhone. I sent an email where I detailed my vCenter version, iOS version and more information.
Best regards,
Jose Luis Gomez
