ESXi 6.5
Installing the latest versiion of VMware tolls into a win10 VM I can enable the feature to share files among virtual machines and the host computer.
Now, how can I share the folders? clicking on the VMware tools icon on the systray I do not see any option...
folder sharing... I do not know
But you can enabling clipboard copy and paste on vSphere VMs

Folder sharing functionality is a VMware Workstation feature which is unavailable on ESXi.
Please see a similar question here:
Shared Folders option on Vmware tool ESXi
Hi,
the post you are referring is very old.
As I said, installing the latest versione of vmware tools 10279 (10.1.7) is possible to select an option to install 'folder sharing'
But I do not understand how to share the folders with the host.
Thanks
It is not possible to share files between the host and the virtual machines using VMware Tools in VMware ESXi or VMware vSphere. This feature is only available in VMware Workstation and VMware Fusion.
This is because VMware ESXi is a type I hypervisor, which means there's little to no OS-VM interaction. The feature which you're asking about is only possible to implement on type II hypervisors such as above mentioned Workstation, Fusion or similar software (VirtualBox etc.)
As you have already answered the option folder sharing is available if you are using VMware Workstation. In this case, we have a shared folder between the two operating systems. ESXi is a hypervisor. There's basically no folder that can be shared with the guest OS.
