Hello,

I don't have hardware GPU.

Then i installed OpenGL Extensions Viewer 6.1.2.0 to check the information about OpenGL but it also crashed.

We're experiencing the same issue with SPSS 27 (Faulting application name: stats.exe) on a Server 2019 guest running on Vsphere 7U1. This particular guest ran fine until the update to tools v11301.

Thank you.

I noticed that my VM's vmware tools version was also v11301, uninstalled it and reinstalled to 10346, now everthing works again.

Weird that it did automatically update it to v11301, which caused problems.

This is still an issue on ESXi 7.0.1. Tested on 2012R2 - 2019 servers with multiple versions of AutoCAD.

Ultimately we had to roll back to VMware Tools 10.3.5 to keep the vm3dgl64.dll from not releasing, which in turn prevented AutoCAD from closing.

One quick way to verify there is an issue is to run the accoreconsole.exe found in the c:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD xxxx folder. When you attempt to exit with the "Exit" or "Quit" command the console window will hang and not close. See attached screen shot for reference.

This sounds like the llvmpipe hang issue on 2D VM.  The fix is now available on Windows Update as an optional driver update for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2012. Update for Windows 10 will be available soon. The optional driver update is listed as VMware, Inc. - Display - 8.17.2.14.

We have the same problem  with our own software. I tested the drivers 11.2.5 and 11.1.1 and 10.3.5. Some other guy posted here in this thread the 10.3.5 would work. I will check the newest version 11.2.6 and maybe some older versions.

By the way, simply removing the dll helped. But we can't tell our customers to do this.

The problem has been new to us. We are just changing from compiler VC2017 to VC 2019. Our software closes without problem when compiled with VC2017 but runs into this strange state with VC2019.
