vSphere - cannot increase disk capacity

Hello,

I cannot increase disk capacity, it is greyed out.

I try create snapshot, delete snapshot, nothing helps.

VM (Windows 7) has two disks, first cannot edit, second is editable.

First disk hasn't rounded capacity number.

vSphere version 6.7.0.3.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

It looks like the VM has been converted from a physical system, and the disk type used during the conversion was "IDE".

Unfortunately,  "IDE" disks can only be resized while the VM is powered off.

is the first disk running on snapshot by any chance?

300029296875 GB is 300029296.875 TB - Is that correct number?

Thanks,

MS

That disk size is concerning, for one.  Second - do you have backup infrastructure that might have the disk attached to a proxy?  You have some corruption or backup/lock issue going on.

Great, it helped me. I power off VM and then it works.

Thank You very much.
