Hello, let me start off by saying that I am new to VMWare and vSphere. That being said, I have a need to setup a self-service capability for some of our developers to mainly just work with snapshots. I have gone into the Administration page in vSphere, then the Access Control page and created a new role having only the privileges to take/delete/restore snapshots. This was all pretty straight-forward, but I am not sure what is needed on the VM's that I assign this role to in order to take advantage of this feature? Does the VMWare player need to be installed on those VM's?
