vSphere 6 Essentials Plus kit migration to new servers

Hello,

we have 3 NODs cluster with vSphere 6 Essentials Plus kit and we would like to migrate whole cluster to 3 new NODs. All VMs are stored in SAN storage so it should be pretty simple but I wouldn't like to forget something. We don't need to preserver cluster settings (vCenter settings, etc.) but of course we need to preserve VM settings. Is there something really important what I should not forget?

Thank you,

Petr

When you say VM settings what exactly you are trying to save ?

Are you getting 3 new H/W for esxi and moving all VM's to those new esxi ?

If you have configured load balancing and teaming for virtual machines, those settings will be lost.

All VM configuration (Virtual HW and VM options).

Yes, exactly. And after move all VM to new cluster I would like to move current VMware licence from old to the new one.

So there is no "hidden" issue? My plan is install 3 new esxi, create cluster with trial licence, connect cluster to SAN storage, shutdown particular VM, register it in new VMware cluster and it SHOULD work, I hope.
