vCenter and ESXi build numbers

Hi,

With 6.7U3 are you still required to have vCenter with the same or higher build number than ESXi?

Ex:

vCenter build 15132721

ESXi build 15160138

In such case is it required or recommended to upgrade vCenter or not really as wont matter in terms of compatibility/interoperability?

thanks

vCenter and ESXi follow different build paths because they aren't the same product. But it was always recommended that they should either be at the same release stage, or vCenter be more recent than ESXi so that hasn't changed.

Cool I that case I better not take risks and update to latest VCSA which looks to be dated April 9th - 6.7.0.43000
