hello everyone,
currently I am trying to set up vSphere VM encryption. I have a working KMS server as well as a working vCenter Server(from my point of view). Now I would like to connect the vCenter Server to the KMS Server, but there is one small problem: the option "Key Management Servers" is not available.
I tried following the configuration guide:
On my System there is no such thing as Key Management Servers below the Configure Tab.
Does anybody know what I have to do?
kind regards
Andreas
HTML5 does not have full functionality yet. Use Flex client to configure KMS Server.
1) Version and build number of the vCenter?
2) Are you logged in using the SSO admin account?
3) Are you able to see the 'Storage Providers' option under the Configure tab?
4) Are you using the Flash client or the HTML5 client?
5) If possible, share a screenshot from the Configure tab.
Cheers,
Supreet
Please use Flex client to configure KMS server.
Click on vCenter and navigate to Configure option. Make sure you are using vCenter 6.5 or later versions.
1) Version 6.5.0 Build 8815520
2) Yes, I am using the administrator account
3) Yes I do, as you can see in the Screenshot below (Sorry, that everything is german. "Storage Providers" would be "Speicheranbieter")
4) I am using the HTML5 client
5)
HTML5 does not have full functionality yet. Use Flex client to configure KMS Server.
Thanks for your help, now I am seeing the option
kind regards
Andreas
With 6.7, the KMS option is available in the HTML5 client as well. That is the reason I asked you for the vCenter version and what client are you using
