vCenter Server Appliance installation stuck at 50% in stage 2

I am installing vCenter server appliance on a Dell R640 host (out of the box).  I zoomed through stage 1 of vCenter server appliance installation but stage 2 is stuck at 50% for last couple of hours. I thought the installer may have stuck I so logged in through the browser but it's also showing the same thing. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Update: Installation failed with error 'An error occurred while starting service 'vpxd-svcs'.

Double-check DNS and that the names and IPs of your vCenter and the ESXi hosts. Typically the install fails at 50% for that reason. Something in DNS is freaking it out. LOL! Hope that helps.

That seems to be an issue. I was using incorrect DNS server address instead of looking at my domain controller, trying it again now with domain controller. 🤞
