Why are the scsi ids that are reported by vCenter different from what are reported on my Linux machine? vCenter reports them as one would expect, increasing from 0:0, 0:1, 0:2,... and 1:0, 1:1, 1:2, ... 3:0,3:1, ... yet the OS is reporting something different. I am specifically looking at the first digit of the scsi ids reported by the OS and there are some that are reporting as 4 and 5 where none of the first digits of those reported by vCenter are 4 or 5. Similarly, from the vCenter perspective none of the scsi ids first digits report as 1 or 3 whereas in the OS they do. I do see that all of the 3 digits appear to be accounted for but without the first digits matching up I have no way of associating the disks from the OS perspective to the disks from vCenter's perspective.
