vCenter Mail Alerts not working.

Hi Folks,

I have configured the smtp mail settings in vcenter 6.0 as per the KB article: Configure Mail Sender Settings

Created a custom alarm too, still not receiving any mail alerts.

Hi @daphnissov,

The smtp settings configured are: smtp.office365.com and a sender mail for the same. I have changed the port settings to port no: 587. Also created a custom alarm and a condition executed to trigger it.

Yet I receive no mail notification.

vCenter does not support TLS auth so that maybe your issue.

So Kindly suggest me some steps or KB article to configure mail alerts on vcenter for the same.

OR any another workaround for it.

The question becomes how do you authenticate? If it's just an open relay then that's fine, otherwise you'll have to specify credentials and, optionally, a custom port.
