vCenter 6.7 offering update to vCenter 7.0.1

vCenter 6.7 is offering to update to vCenter 7. Is vCenter 6.7 no longer receiving patches? Will updating to 7 causing any issues patching my 6.7 hosts.

Hi,

If you upgrade to vCenter 7.0, you no longer receive vcenter 6.7 patches (they won't do you any good). Mind you continue to receive patches for the Esxi 6.7

I'm not worried if I don't receive vCenter 6.7 patches. As long as Esxi 6.7 still receives patches I am happy.

Ok! you will receive patches for Esxi 6.7 until you update Esxi 7.0

If you upgrade only the vCenter to 7.0 it continues to receive patches for Esxi 6.7
