I am a little curious&confused.
At a customer we are using a lot of vApps, but now the caveat comes... we need to redeploy a new vCenter and bring the existing hosts to the new vCenter.
The problem is, how to migrate the vApps with the current settings? Do manual? That is no option, to many vApps to do manually.
Export vApps as OVF and Import? Well...there are vApps with 1TB VM's (and more) good luck with that... first export as OVF and then import.... the VM's all on the same host? Looks to me like waste of time and storage consuming...
Scripting? Well.... there is not much documentation....
Other Applications like Veeam...? Yes, but not for vCenter vApps.... only vCloud Director...
It is more for the settings related....are we bound to manually document and recreate?
