Adobe released a new flash version (27 v183) that seems to work.

I haven't tested this with Ubuntu but it works with Chrome on my WIndows 10 system here.

There I browsed to chrome://components/ and updated flash.

Not useful in that you didn't like the KB or you tried the version of Shockwave Flash that was suggested and it did not resolve the issue?

You could try the workaround posted by William Lam here:

Did some tests.

VCSA 6.5U1

Win10 1709, Chrome 62, Flash 27.0.0.183 - works

MacOS High Sierra, Chrome 62, Flash 27.0.0.183 - works

Ubuntu 17.04, Chrome 62, Flash 27.0.0.183 - Shockwave crashed

Hmpf.

vCenter certificates are trusted.

There was a buggy version of flash released.  It was all over the internet.
