remount lost FC Datastore

Hi all,

i`ve a general question about a lost Datastore (PDL) in a VCSA 6.5 Environment.

We using FC Datastores connected to a NetApp Storage Unit.

Last weekend a NetApp Volume was running out of Disk Space so a LUN was going offline.

The only Way to remount the Datastore was to reboot all the Hosts in the Cluster.

"Rescan Storage" from Web GUI or ESXCLI Commandline was not working - still showing as inaccesable.

So is there an Option to bring an FC Datastore back online without rebooting the Hosts ?

There could be multiple reasons for the datstore did not come back as the hostd service might have been hung as the inflight IO are not able to execute when the datastore was dis-connected.

A reboot will reset all the IO's and that's the reason the datastore connects back.

The problem might not be in the esxi as it's simply waiting for the IO's.
