  • 1.  log full no root access

    Getting this error over & over in vsphere:

    A general system error occured: Retrieve IPMI SEL request to host failed

    I have tried resetting the sensors & reset event log in host monitor to no avail. I have inherited the system from a fired admin & dont have root access to the hosts or vcenter, I do have access to vsphere. Looking up this error it seems the logs could be full but all fixes I have seen involve ssh access - is there another way. I want to reinstall esxi at some point on the 3 host to fit the root password but I am not ready for that
