    Dear All,

In the vsphere 8 security, there is a new feature about the ssh service.

SSH can be automatically disabled after a specified timeout on ESXi hosts?

But how to set the timeout on the ESXI host?

    Thanks

    Hi,

If I understand your question correctly the method to set the  SSH / ESXi Shell timeout it's always be the same, by changing the related advanced settings of an ESXi host via It's GUI or via DCUI as it was done before.

    https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/8.0/vsphere-security/GUID-8EA2F9A0-001B-436E-968C-ECB235D52E8C.html

Anyway, what I "found" (in truth discovered nothing) in ESXi 8.0 as indeed in previous versions that "SSH and ESXi shell" are disabled by default and their timout values are set to "zero" by default, so no timeout.
