how to migrate VMs with it's snapshoot from WorkStation to ESXi

I tried to migrate VMs in workstation to ESXi and want to migrate the snapshoots of VM to ESXi too, but i got no lucky.

Anybody know how to do that?

This only works the other way around.

ESXi snapshots using the older version with delta.vmdks can be used in Workstation.

But dont use that for more as to extract data from them.

ESXi snapshots using the sesparse format do not work in Workstation.

Using Workstation snapshots in ESXi can be acchieved with very ugly workarounds only.

Onlyvery skilled VMware users should even consider trying that ....
