how to limit the number of concurrent vMotions

Can someone please provide the steps to Limit the host vmotion to 4 and datastore vmotion 2?

Hi, as far as i know you have to edit the advanced settings on the vCenter server vpxd.cfg

go through this link , it explains how limits are calculated in vmware.

Limits on Simultaneous Migrations

and after reading this, you can appreciate that Limit is calculated dynamically by vSphere  for each operation and it not only dependent on the type of operation for example vmotion, storage vmotion , cloning etc. but also  on  type of resources involved

For example the vmotion withour shared datastore = vMorion +Storage vmotion ..

and varying cost  will have ripple effect on all the operations.
