esxi 6.5.0 VSwitch and Pfsense

guys,

i would like to install PFSense with 2 network cards; one for WAN 1 for lan. My virtual clients need to connect to Pfsense only, i dont want them to get a dhcp address from the wan. The problem i am encountering is that every vswitch needs to connect to a NIC, so my clients always get an ip-addres from the wan.

Anyone who can help me with this?

Thanks.

I followed this tutorial,Virtualization — Virtualizing pfSense with VMware vSphere / ESXi | pfSense Documentation , but everything is onencted to the same nics and to the same switches. Dont think that is correct.

I got 4 portgroups(what is theire purpose??) ; lan(no uplink), wan(nic 2+3), management and vm networking

i got 3 vswitches; vswitch 0, wan and lan.

You should create one port group and add there the machine with PFsense and also the other machines.

Create another port group and add another NIC to the PFsense machine which should be added to this port group.
