hi,
i have a vm with a LV name y created on /dev/sdb.I like to expand this y.
I have the possibility to add a new disk to VM or to expand /dev/sdb by expanding the disk from the datastore.right?
If i expand the disk from the datastore can i expand the disk without to shutdown the VM?
then after i expanded to disk from datastore -i have centos-i must use pvresize.right?
Thats correct, you can extend the existing vDISK. The KB discuss the steps for achieving that. Its about expanding the vDISK and the LV.

yes, you can expand the vDISK of the VM first and then expand the LV.
Please find the steps in following wiki.

the link you gave me->is the situation where you add a new vdisk inside VM.I like to not add a new vdisk but to expand the existing vdisk. You told me that expanding the existing vdisk is possible.right?
