disk resize

hi,

i have a vm with a LV name y created on /dev/sdb.I like to expand this y.

I have the possibility to add a new disk to VM or to expand /dev/sdb by expanding the disk from the datastore.right?

If i expand the disk from the datastore can i expand the disk without to shutdown the VM?

then after i expanded to disk from datastore -i have centos-i must use pvresize.right?

Thats correct, you can extend the existing vDISK. The KB discuss the steps for achieving that. Its about expanding the vDISK and the LV.

'2. Edit the virtual machine settings and extend the virtual disk size'
