Can you tell that how are performing assign the IP address on Ubuntu?

so eventually after installation of your VM machine login to ur ubuntu and go to network setting and change the Ip address to  Automate method to manual and verify that from the VM side have u assigned the Network adapter or not ..

Hello raghushetty

I have unistalled the dhcp service on the host

I have modified the /etc/network/interfaces on the host

but if I made (on the host) a ifconfig, the IP adress is diffrent (as my /etc/network/interfaces) but in the  DHCP range (manage by another server)

how can I erify that from the VM side have u assigned the Network adapter ?

Hey Klinkk

Go to edit setting and  go for the network adapter and say connect

If you are using vsphere client follow this link check for this setting (Add a Network Adapter to a Virtual Machine in the vSphere Web Client)

Hey Klinkk,

Sorry for the late response, if the adapter is connected  mean it should work,

check ESXi ip address which is taken automatically or static one based on that only for VM will get the connection form ur LAN.
