I'm told I need to replace my certificates for vcenter server and SSO as they are not identical. where do I get these certificates?
Follow the below link to replace certs on 5.5:

You will need a CA signing authority to generate .cer or .crt files.
If this is not an option un-install and re-install 5.5 components pointing to existing DB this will fix the issue.
btw I am assuming the issue is mismatch of hostname in the SAN field of vc and sso certificate.
