can we use VMware Sphere hypervisor v7.0 license used on 6.7 version

If would say in both cases the answer should be "no" 😉

If its a key with SnS than you could easily downgrade the lic in the customer connect portal (the former my.vmware.com) from 7 to 6.

We have VMware vSphere 7 Essential kit for 3 Host (Max 2 Processor per Host).

We want to use one license key for vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi6.7 because one server hardware is not compatible with vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi) 7.0

Essential Kit is a paid version so you can easily downgrade partially a few of your 6 CPU Bundle. The downgrade dialog always contains the possibility to split a larger bundle so there is no need to split first and than downgrading.

When we assigned license key on VMware-VMvisor-Installer-6.5.0.update03-18071574.x86_64-DellEMC_Customized-A08.iso .

and received an error - Please provide a valid license key
