Wrong information on VMware Compatibility Guide. What can I do?

I'm trying to install ESXi 7.0 to Dell R620 which has H310 Mini raid controller.

H310 Mini raid controller is listed as supported by ESXi 7.0 with lsi_mr3 but it is not.

What I'm asking is, will it be fixed with the driver update or it is really wrong information as it is also not supported on latest CentOS.

You should open an #SR.

Only Dell 13+14Gen. Server are certified for 7.0 and these comes with H330/HBA330 and not with H310 any more.  So most likely the HCL is wrong.

There was a posting from 2 days ago about Cisco Server and LSI 2004 HBA card and the same issue.

I did some checks and you're right, it is written on the official document (attached) which is compatible with vSphere 7.0

hi!

Then there is a natural question....

HCL is not informative now?

Ie, in order to find really compatible equipment, we need:

check HCL;

deep dive into KB;

call a voodoo;

and make a sacrifice???

Serj
