Windows 10 v2004 (May 2020 Update) and vSphere 6.7 U3: VMware Tools shows as "not installed" even though it is?

I just created a test VM using the latest Windows 10 64-bit ISO from My Visual Studio. After Windows finished installing, I clicked the "Install VMware Tools..." prompt within vSphere and ran the mounted installer CD. However, after restarting the VM I noticed that vSphere itself reports "VMware Tools is not installed on this virtual machine" despite VMware Tools showing as installed within the Windows Control Panel and the VM getting an internet connection after the installation finished.

Is this a known issue with Windows 10 v2004 and VMware Tools?

For reference, I am running vSphere 6.7 U3 (VCSA) and VMware tools 11.0.5.

Edit: Manually updating VMware Tools to 11.0.6 fixed the issue.
